Our grandchildren just love to feed the chickens when they come to us for holidays. We have a bowl in the kitchen for all the vegetable peelings, left over food and bread which the chickens get so excited about when they see us arrive at their runs. We do let them out every day so they can clear the garden of unwanted insects as well as scratch in the dust to keep their feathers in good condition.
