My father, as well as being a pilot and electrical engineer, was also an amateur photographer. He had a dark room in our house when we were growing up and I remember well how we were not allowed to open the door whilst he was developing his pictures. Great to have these old photos now and in such good condition.

There were 3 sons in his family and they all joined up. Their parents were so proud of them. Lucky for us they all returned home safely after the war.
